Today is marked as the International Women's Day as the symbol on one of the 'o' at the google's logo turned into the symbol for women. You may find more stories about the said event here.

Gmail drive using GmailFS

A friend gave me a link this day, here it is gmail drive.

I love this program, it enables you to store up to 1GB of disk space. Cool! Read on to its description from the page:

GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium.

GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer.

GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.

Ever since Google started to offer users a GMail e-mail account, which includes storage space of a 1000 megabytes, you have had plenty of storage space but not a lot to fill it up with.

With GMail Drive you can easily copy files to your GMail account and retrieve them again. When you create a new file using GMail Drive, it generates an e-mail and posts it to your account.

The e-mail appears in your normal Inbox folder, and the file is attached as an e-mail attachment. GMail Drive periodically checks your mail account (using the GMail search function) to see if new files have arrived and to rebuild the directory structures.

But basically GMail Drive acts as any other hard-drive installed on your computer.
You can copy files to and from the GMail Drive folder simply by using drag'n'drop like you're used to with the normal Explorer folders.

Because the GMail files will clutter up your Inbox folder, you may wish to create a filter in GMail to automatically move the files (prefixed with the GMAILFS letters) to your archived mail folder.

Please note that GMail Drive is still an experimental tool. There's still a number of limitations of the file-system (such as total filename size must be less than 40 characters), and it doesn't make full use of the secure internet protocols available.

and as much as i do not want to comment anymore on this Cagayan de Oro Bulua Sex Scandal; it gaved me no choice but to say it to the public that we indeed have high ranking idiot police officers. I am really disturbed of the number of cds they have actually confiscated. Its like they are very proud on the number of cds that were confiscated with the title bulua sex scandal. Cagayan de Oro City (3 February) -- WITH the disturbing issue on cyber sex, the city government of Cagayan de Oro, through the Regulatory and Complaint Board (RCB) intensifies its drive to inspect all Internet cafes in the city.

Additional Yahoo Audibles

Have you noticed the Yahoo Audibles missing and you wanted to use it but it can be found nowhere? Well, yahoo audibles are stored in the default location at

C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\cache\Audibles

an XML file defines the Yahoo audibles found on the web, These audible files are actually Flash files that is why you need a flash player in order to use them. The XML file is called

Audibles.xml

In order for us to recover back those missing audibles we need to modify the registry and add those missing audibles from there. We will use the most recently used audible tab to store our missing audibles. We need to go to these registry location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\Pager\profiles\YahooID

Take note the YahooID is the Yahoo ID you are using

Using the MRUAudibles key at the registry we will ad each of the missing audible to the list, Enabling the Audibles bar we use ShowAudibleBar key yo set into 1, and lasty we need to display the recently used audibles automatically to our chat window we use LastUsedAudibleSet key setting it to RecentAudibles. We need at least on of the audibles to belisted at the MRUAudibles, see the list of them below.

Get the Screwdriver
On the Sunflower Photo frame, click it open, then double click the screwdriver.
It should be placed on your inventory.

Get the Light Bulb
Using screwdriver activate it by clicking once.
Click on the cabinet drawer, the first one.
Double click on the bulb

Place the bulb
Activate the bulb by clicking it once then click the empty slot on the ceiling.

Turn on the Lights
The switch is located right beside the door knob
click it, and the lights shoud turn on

Get the Blue Key
There is a mat on the floor, click it.
Double click on the cutter to place it to the inventory
Activate the cutter by clicking it
Use it to tear the pillow apart by clicking it
The blue key will be added to your inventory

Get the Pink Key
Turn on the computer by clicking on the keyboard

Raising the vat to 12% to save the country from looming? what a crap. I think there are other means for revenue sources. This not a save the nation legislation mister speaker, its a kill the nation legislation. However, some of the basic consumption are exempted from the taxes, there are a number of items that should be included in the list which were not added but are considered basic food consumption items. Surely there are other ways to increase the philippine funds like, reduce the corruption measures or if they like raising taxes; let them raise luxury tax items that would be fair for middle and lower class people. Items like plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, etc are exempted from vat, they say some of the entertainers may benifit from it. WHAT? Are they crazy.

The president is indeed very wise, won the elections, prevented a coop atempt, gained control of the congress with its sunshine coalition of 75 members compared to 20 member opposition bloc. in the senate, 12 of 22 is of pro administration. What the president wants, she gets. I think there will be no more poeple power since our president is very wise.

Well, i am not totally against this vat increase, but at least they study it first to come with a more correct approach. We can clearly see that they are rushing for the implementation of this act, and some flaws not seen may be enjoyed by most scum. I am pretty sure, in the end, its the consumers will suffer; passing the vat to the consumers for instance or maybe double vat colection.

i hope the senate ratifies this bill heartilly.

Bulua video. Rape? Is it?

I've recently seen the so called Bulua Scandal, there was no force seen on the tape though, in fact I can see that the victim is indeed enjoying it. Well maybe the rape scene was not videoed at that time.

These are some of the voice conversations from the clips.

The local paper stated some evidences about some life treats and some written treats which they say could become court evidences. Well, heres the name of the suspect "Engr. Jose Emmanuel Docdocil" which is now staying at the United States, somewhat like the Nida Blanca case. How are supposed to nail that bastard? The supposed to be lady victim is working at the Lim Ket Kai Center. Selling the scandal cd in Cagayan de Oro is now illegal as ordered by the City Mayor Vicente Emano.

What a buzy life i have, last years new year was like it was just yesterday.

New years resolution? whatacrap...

My new years resolution is not to make one!

Well, been working on a new hobby aside from playing computer games its watching videos i kinda like making some comments on the videos i have recently watched and posting it in my weblog. ill be posting my comments on the different account to preserve the topic of this blogs theme hehehe.

New updates: since i have not done some adventures recently i have no additions to this blog, i decided to work on antoher interesting things like creating my own templates for my blogs i might finish it this month, i hope so and at least it will keep my hands occupied.

Answers To Uncover The Code Quest

The second quest "Uncover The Code: The Secret is Hidden Right Before Your Eyes" is quite difficult compared to the previous one, it took me the whole week to search for the answers. I did not intend to publish my answers though, but looks like post maybe helpful to those lazy people out there. If you intentto solve the quest for yourself better not proceed.

This time the quest requires you to read the book. My advice: read the book it is nicely plotted. Just remember, the book is a work of fiction, what is written is not necessarily true. But i still, consider some facts behind it, and a question lingers into my mind is it really true? anyway, you might wantto read the response of the opus dei to the da vinci code at their website.

The quest comes with 5 codes each of them with increasing difficulty, the first three questions comes from the book a sort of preparation questions.

Before we go, it is a good idea to read the hints provided by the site.

1. The first question is composed of a three letter word.

As stated from the book, Jacques Sauniere is the Grand Master of the Priory of Sion. The keepers of the Holy Grail.

Lets answer the Quest!

Reveal The First Code

Magnify the book cover at the site select the back cover with the quotes of the varous authors, at the lower left of the image you can see an inverted blurry text. It reads 37 degrees 57 minutes 65 seconds north, 77 degrees 8 minutes44 seconds west

Now, using google answers enter this at the search box:

"37 degrees 57 minutes 65 seconds north"

The search will give just one link the question was worth $10 dollars, not bad, i took several hours searching for the code myself. Now, answering the quest is relatively easier for the web provides more than enough links forthe answers.

The answer is kryptos heres a picture of it.

The Second Code

One deciphered portion of Kyrptos offers the enigmatic message:"they used the Earth's Enigmatic field. The information was gathered and transmitted underground to an unknown location. Does Langley know about this? They should: it's buriedout there somewhere. Who know's the exact location?

According to Kryptos, What are the initials of the person who "knows the exact location?"

I have never seen the kryptos personally, but with the help of that $10 question the answer was revealed. it was ww.

Actually the cover of the book theres a text written in somewhat arabic but its not, i tried to read the front cover with a mirror and wallaaa. It is English! At the back of the book below the quotes written upside down is yet another text which reads only ww knows is written faintly.

The Third Code

The question reads:

The cover flop describes the novels plot,
But simple words can often hide a lot.
Within those paragraphs (and shrouded fast),
Resides a mystic phrase from ages past.

Notice the bold charactes on the pictures. Collect them all and place them into the text boxes, the phrase reads to be: is there no help for the widows son

The Fourth Code

The answer was meantioned in the book it is the oldest and the largest fraternity in the world. For the question:

Before we continue, you must prove our worthiness by answering this one simple question: For which ancient brotherhood (still active today) Those this phrase have special meaning?

Using google with the tems "fraternity+oldest+world". i answered freemasons, but it didnt work. The answer is mason.

The Fifth Code

Took me several days to answer this, and it is by far the most difficult but, at the end it was fairly easy indeed. I found the dolphin and the anchor, its the Doubleday logo and is found at the book, but i have no clue on what to do next. Until i saw the triangles right between the doubleday logo and the barcodeand at the background is a triangle which matched to be the key.

The image is so large that i can't display it here, instead i'll just provide a link here.

Heres the phrase:

A dolphin and an anchor (but no sea).
A triangle on white is also key.
Between the two you'll find a crimson field.
Upon it printed faintly is a seal.

Each number to a chapter points a way
Each chapter starts with words in muted gray
The letter that is first is what you seek
Thirteen of them (and though it all looks Greek)
Add three all-seeing-eyes - a perfect square
Begin at E, Caesar guides you there.

What famous phrase is printed around the seal?

With the hint opened from the quest, i realised the quest is referring to the charpters of the book 105 in all and corresponds to the first letter of each chapter. The code in thirteen letters in lenght. The seal is composed of numbers with three triangle, arrange in a circle. 16 in total a perfect square to solve it using the Caesars box. 13 in length plus the 3 spaces (triangles) a totalof sixteen = perfect square.

Searching for the chapter that starts with letter E we have Chapter 20. We will start there clockwise.

Now we should solve it by rewriting from top to bottom and left to right in that order. It should read as E#PLURIBUS#UNUM. replacing the # symbol with spaces.

Thus, the answer to the fifth code is E Pluribus Unum

The Final Clue

White water rafting adventures

Getting Ready!

The day is October 23, 2004. im so tired, but its nothing compared to how much i have enjoyed and the adventure i have encountered in the water rapids. i think the term white water rafting refers to the color of the waves of the cagayan de oro river; wherein due to its enormous current the water is seen just like a ladder going downwards and forms white bubbles going up just like when you are boiling tap water.

How Much?

Not bad for the money i have spent, i really enjoyed it. There were 41 persons in all, divided to 6 water rafts, typically 6 to 7 persons in each raft. im so glad that i am living in cagayan de oro to enjoy this such a nice activity, i am thankful to our organizers for this. We paid 1200 per person, that covers everything except the pack lunch and the camera. Our gear: Paddle, life jacket, sandals and the helmet.

Location

we have travelled 12.5 kms total from mambuaya to kabula, of this 12.5 kms there are 14 water rapids we have encontered with one river crossing obstacle. the course is about 6 hours total, that is enough to turn you into an indian if you havent brought your sunblock. and by the way be prepared to jump on a 30 feet high footbridge.

The story

i woke up 6 o'clock and prepared my things, i brought a packbag, inside is a t shirt, a brief, a pair of short pants, a cap, water in a plastic bottle, and my lunch-mcdonalds a quarter-pounder. i was wearing short pants, a shirt, a cap, and a pair of sandals with straps to my feet. i arrived at the meeting place, at DV Soria, in front of mcdonalds at 745am. we were then given a waiver thats in case we die during the course. then we boarded on a jeepney towards mambuaya but while on the way, we stopped at the macahambus cave for some sight seeing.

At the cave

i live in cagayan de oro but ive never been to the macahambus cave. watching over those stalaclitites, it so tiring having to go down over to such very long stairs. below are two caves with spring water gushing out from its floor and from its wall opening. i didnt get any nearer for there might be a caveman down there. what i really hate is that there were no elevators to carry us back above, we have to climb back to the stairs. when i got up i felt my legs to be in great pain ang my tongue to be seen outside my mouth.

The site

we arrived at the site at about 9am. our headguide debrief us on paddling techniques and on some safety precautions including splashing us with water. after that we boarded on the raft and headed on my first water rapid adventure. Here are my answers to the da vinci code quest, the quest was used to promote dan brown's book 'the da vinci code'. it was a nice and contorversial book for religious folks out there. Read and judge for yourself.

Anyway im here just for the book quest. you can go visit the site and answer the quest yourself using this link.

However, you will need a copy of the book to answer the quest, (ill just post a link for a softcopy of the book, that is if will find one) . if you are stuck on that one use this for the account number of marie denardaud at the depository bank of zurich : 1123581321

Lets Start:

1. go to the link: da vinci code quest

2. on the question: Please type (with care) Da Vinci's given name. answer LEONARDO
3. Using the search engine using the term "famous fresco in milan", you will find The last supper to be the answer.

4. the first gate appears, copy and paste the text to notepad and another hint appears to be:
Well done, my friend, I sense your heart is true.
You now have earned the right to your next clue:
The Mona Lisa's dwelling once housed kings.
A lavish Paris palace with three wings.
One wing is Sully... one is Richelieu.
Please name the third (I've mentioned only two).

Using google search, you will find the answer to the third gate to be DENON

5. Second gate appears, by clicking on the hint found on the page instructs you on how to answer the next clue. Using Caesar's box the code WTRGOWRTDTWOLOCDBANOOENDM may be rearrange to:

9. The fourth gate appears. The picture on the right is the partchment we are going to unravel. Read whats written on the site, the last sentence is the hint for the next gate: "In fact, I'm using a bank I saw advertised on this very site!". Now, click on the ad on the page: Depository Bank of Zurich

10. Access Marie Denarnaud's account by entering her name: "Marie Denarnaud"

11. You are ask to enter marie's account number. Click on the link below the question "Forget your account number?" A reminder that states:

Marie, your father (knowing how much you love books about Da Vinci) gave you that new American novel The Da Vinci Code. For your account number, look at the middle of Chapter 44.

The code actually is a fibonacci series of numbers, a number from which is the result of the sum of the previous two numbers.

1 + 1 = 2
1 + 2 = 3
2 + 3 = 5
3 + 5 = 8
5 + 8 = 13
8 + 13 = 21
13 + 21 = 34
21 + 34 = 55

we only need ten digits so get the first ten numbers 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21.

17. Read all the messages. On the Fourth link: Jonas, I've got the key! you will be asked to go to robert's secret page at www.robertlangdon.com/secretpage.htm

On the page, you will be asked to enter the password which is roberts favorite symbol. seriously i really find it hard to know the name of the sysmbol since it is not a word and only image as the hint. If youll try to rightclick on the image and select properties it will just display the filename as nicetrypal.jpg For the answer, the symbol is the ancient symbol of life. Using google we will find its name as ankh. Enter the name at the webpage.

19. Breaking the code. Two partchments are displayed on the site. The code and the key. Look closely to the key and notice that it is broken into group of four letters and arrange into 3 layers. Look closely at the code. look into the first drawing, the one with a rectangle and a dot on the rightmost portion, that object represents a single letter in the english alphabeth. The rectangle denotes the position of the layer at the key that is the middle portion of the key which contains the letters QRST and the dot corresponds to the position of the letter at the key which is the letter 'T'. Next is a rectangle with the upper side open, which corresponds to the letters EFGH. the dot is found at the rightmost portion which corresponds to the letter 'H' and so on . . .
