2% to save the country?

Raising the vat to 12% to save the country from looming? what a crap. I think there are other means for revenue sources. This not a save the nation legislation mister speaker, its a kill the nation legislation. However, some of the basic consumption are exempted from the taxes, there are a number of items that should be included in the list which were not added but are considered basic food consumption items. Surely there are other ways to increase the philippine funds like, reduce the corruption measures or if they like raising taxes; let them raise luxury tax items that would be fair for middle and lower class people. Items like plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, etc are exempted from vat, they say some of the entertainers may benifit from it. WHAT? Are they crazy.

The president is indeed very wise, won the elections, prevented a coop atempt, gained control of the congress with its sunshine coalition of 75 members compared to 20 member opposition bloc. in the senate, 12 of 22 is of pro administration. What the president wants, she gets. I think there will be no more poeple power since our president is very wise.

Well, i am not totally against this vat increase, but at least they study it first to come with a more correct approach. We can clearly see that they are rushing for the implementation of this act, and some flaws not seen may be enjoyed by most scum. I am pretty sure, in the end, its the consumers will suffer; passing the vat to the consumers for instance or maybe double vat colection.

i hope the senate ratifies this bill heartilly.
